Most standard caravans require 6-8 hours for complete cut and polish treatment, depending on size and surface condition. Heavily oxidised or severely marked surfaces may need additional time for proper correction. We work systematically to ensure consistent results across all panels rather than rushing the process, as proper correction cannot be hurried.
Cut and polish effectively removes light to moderate scratches, swirl marks, and surface oxidation. Deep scratches that penetrate through the clear coat or gelcoat may improve but won’t be completely eliminated without more aggressive refinishing. During our assessment, we’ll identify which defects can be fully corrected and which will show improvement but remain partially visible.
Caravans with gelcoat or painted fibreglass construction respond excellently to cut and polish treatment. Older units that appear dull, chalky, or heavily swirl-marked see the most dramatic improvement. Aluminium-clad caravans require different approaches and may not achieve the same gloss enhancement as gelcoat surfaces.
Regular washing with quality techniques prevents reintroduction of swirl marks and maintains the corrected finish. Use proper wash mitts, two-bucket method, and avoid automatic car washes.
